Custom Design

We have designed many homes over the years, and feel our process in home design is very effective. Most of our clients bring scrapbooks on their initial meeting filled with articles, advertisements and copies of home plans. Out of this initial meeting we gather enough information to generate a floor plan. After a period of "tweaking" we generate elevations and you are ready for selections.

Selections

Once the home is designed it is time to complete the selections. We like to select all items that are going to complete your home up front. These items include; plumbing fixtures, tile, flooring, lighting, hardware, moldings, cabinetry etc. Our designers will meet with you in our design studio and over a two to three day time period complete this step. We integrate your selections with the plans and we are ready to estimate and contract.

Pricing

Once you approve the design package we price the home. The method we use for pricing is based on historical cost and quantity take off.  We do not "square foot" a price for your home. Often times we will "value engineer" as we price, offering you lower cost alternatives. When complete, we review the price with you, sharing bids, lumber quotes etc.

Construction and Orientation

The construction process takes 5-8 months, depending upon finishes. Our superintendents inspect your home on a daily basis. Our quality control supervisor performs eight separate quality control inspections. Skyetec Environmental performs two moisture intrusion inspections. Upon completion we walk with you through your new home and orient you to its many features. You are presented with your warranty book, your keys and a 10- year limited warranty and mold free guarantee from Bonded Builders Warranty Group.
